Let’s get ready for Valentine’s Day ahead of time.
This time we will up our game a bit and create some gourmet-looking meals from simple ingredients. But don’t worry, you will not need to have any cooking experience at all. I will show you how easy it is to create elegant-looking meals from ordinary ingredients.
One meal will be on molecular gastronomy, as we will make seaweed caviar! You will be amazed at how simple it is.
We will start with some virgin mulled wine.
Then we will make two easy appetizers - carrot “lox” with herbed cashew cream on a multi-seed cracker. Then we will make mini buckwheat pancakes with seaweed caviar. You can also serve these pancakes as breakfast for the next day.
For the salad, we will have fresh farm salad with Green Goddes Dressing.
For the mains, you will learn how to make protein-rich kibbeh from black beans. As a side, we will have parsnip puree. We will also have a second main course - tofu steak with sweet tamari garlic glaze, and baked sweet potatoes with refreshing herbed avocado cream sauce.
For desserts, we are also making two desserts. One for chocolate lovers - orange chocolate pudding with hazelnut crunch. And for those who might not love chocolate, banana poppy seed cake with peanut or almond butter.
