Collagen Supplements and Creams
What is collagen?
Collagen is an abundant protein produced in our own body.
It is a building block for our skin, bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments, which also makes out skin elastic.
With age, our body’s natural collagen production decreases. It can lead to the appearance of wrinkles & joint discomfort
As per HMI Nutrition School:
“YOU CAN NOT ABSORB COLLAGEN AS COLLAGEN.
Your body produces collagen through the amino acids you consume in foods, and vitamin C, and glycine, lysine, and proline”. (See all slides for more info from Liana Shanti, a Clinical Nutritionist and the founder of HMI Nutrition School)
What can you do today to support your collagen production:
1. Quit all refined sugars
2. Quit smoking
3. Quit all alcohol. It overburdens your liver.
4. Quit eating dairy and all animal products.
5. Buy organic produce whenever possible. The conventional one is wrecking your health and hormones.
6. Exercise daily, ie rebounding, walking, running, yoga, etc
7. Eat A LOT of fruits. Fruits are the most high-vibrational foods on the planet. Foods are nature’s best antioxidant. They are high in water connection and also in Vitamin C, which helps the most with collagen production.
8. Supplement with Vitamin C daily. It is a water-soluble vitamin, so it doesn’t get stored in your body therefore daily intake is crucial. It is this vitamin in particular that helps the most with Collagen production
9. Swap morning coffee for a glass of fresh organic green juice with some fruit in it.
10. Switch bagels, lox, cream cheese, bacon, and eggs for a powerful smoothie breakfast with some greens, fruit, and nut butter for filling satiated. Or gluten-free oatmeal, or chia seed pudding with lots of fruits, some granola, and nut butter
11. Get enough sleep. It’s not easy for many (I personally still struggle with it) but a good restful sleep will be immediately reflected on your skin the next day
12. Stay hydrated. Drink 64 oz of purified, fluoride-free water.
13. Clean your body from parasites and Candida.
