Candida Healing Cuisine: Wholesome Tofu Scramble with Pumpkin Basil Pesto - Phase 2 Approved

This recipe is approved for Phase 2 of the “Heal Candida Now” protocol created by @hminutritionschool

This could be a satisfying breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Initially, I planned to make only tofu scramble with pesto but I had just freshly cooked brown rice and a few steamed broccoli so it was a great match.

This amazing protocol works and it’s mega important to follow it as it is without your own improvisations if you want to have incredible results with healing your Candida.

- Candida Phase 2 protocol, you can not have anything sweet. Nothing. Not even red bell pepper and no sweet potatoes either
- There is a list of all the approved ingredients you can have during this phase.
- You can’t have any vinegar too (see my prior post)
- And you need to be taking certain supplements as outlined there.

So, Phase 2 is another healing and nourishing time when you RE-introduce solid foods after 7 days of the initial green juice fast.

On another note, there is a specific brand of Nutritional yeast that can be used, which is not active and free of Candida Albicas.

Also, always always use organic tofu.

RECIPE:

Tofu Scramble with Pumpkin Basil Pesto

PESTO
2 clove garlic, minced
2 cups fresh basil leaves
juice of 1 small lemon
1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1 heaping tbsp nutritional yeast
Salt, and pepper to taste
1/4 cup water + 1 tbsp for helping blend if needed
Blend all in a high-speed blender or small cup of food processor

TOFU SCRAMBLE
1/4 small onion, chopped
1/2 block extra firm tofu, crumble it in chunks with hands
1/4 cup water for frying onion
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp smoked paprika spice
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt to taste
Pinch turmeric for color

Sauté the onion in some water until translucent. Add all other ingredients, and stir. and cook for 2-3 more min. Add a splash of water if needed.
